The games themselves run on the account, so they work, but Temu’s anti-abuse systems specifically look for clusters of fresh accounts on disposable domains when paying out referral rewards. Expect the free-gift progress to work and the actual payout to be reviewed or refused.
Why does Temu keep asking me to verify my email again?
Temu re-sends a code when it sees a login from a new device or browser profile. While the inbox on this page is open, the code arrives here like the first one. After the inbox expires, that login check becomes a wall, and the account is only usable from the still-logged-in device.
Is a temporary address enough to keep my data away from Temu?
It removes one identifier, which is worth something, but the app still sees your device, your IP address and your behaviour, and an order still needs a real name and delivery address. A disposable inbox limits the marketing reach; it does not make shopping anonymous.
What does Temu email to this address?
The verification code, order and shipping notices, refund confirmations, and a very frequent stream of promotional and referral mail. Temu emails more often than almost any other service on this list.
Can I change the Temu account email later?
Yes, in Settings → Account, verified with a code sent to the new address. Because Temu re-verifies the address at unpredictable moments, moving to a permanent mailbox early is worth the two minutes.
Will refunds still work if the inbox expires?
Refunds process to the original payment method, but the confirmations and any dispute correspondence go by email. Without them you are relying on the app’s order history alone, which is thinner than the mail trail.
Does a temporary address break the referral rewards?
Not by itself. Temu screens referral rewards on device, IP and payment signals, so a fresh mailbox neither qualifies you for a reward nor disqualifies you from one.
