Temp mail for Discord

Discord will not let you post in most servers until you confirm an email address, and a lot of servers add their own verification gate on top of that. A DustMail inbox clears both in about a minute without handing Discord an address you use anywhere else.

How to sign up

  1. Generate an inbox on this page and copy the address.
  2. Open the Discord register screen and paste the address into the email field.
  3. Discord sends a "Verify Email Address" message within a few seconds; open it here and click the button.
  4. Finish the username and date-of-birth prompts in Discord. The inbox can expire after that.

What it costs you

Trade-offDiscord password resets and login-from-a-new-device codes both go to this address. Once the inbox expires you cannot recover the account, so use a temporary address only for an account you are willing to lose.

Questions

Does Discord block temporary email addresses?

Discord accepts mail from DustMail domains at the time of writing. It does reject a handful of well-known throwaway providers, so if a domain is refused, generate a new inbox on a different domain or use a custom domain on the Premium plan.

How long should I keep the inbox open?

Ten minutes is enough for the verification mail, which usually arrives in under thirty seconds. Pick a longer duration if you also plan to verify a server that emails you separately, such as a community that checks your address before granting roles.

Can I use one temporary address for several Discord accounts?

No. Discord ties one account to one email address, so a second registration on the same address will be refused. Generate a fresh inbox for each account you create.

Will my Discord account be deleted when the inbox expires?

No. The account keeps working; only the mailbox disappears. What you lose is the ability to reset the password or confirm a login from a new device, which in practice means the account ends when you log out.

What does Discord actually email to this inbox?

The verification link at signup, then password resets, new-device login codes, and any security alert about the account. Server-specific verification mail arrives here too if a community gates its channels behind an email check. Marketing mail is off by default, so the inbox stays quiet.

Will Discord ban the account for using a disposable address?

Using a throwaway address is not itself a ban reason; Discord acts on behaviour, not on the domain you registered from. What does happen is that an account flagged for anything else has no recoverable email, so an appeal goes nowhere.

Can I swap the temporary address for a real one later?

Yes, in User Settings → My Account → Edit, provided you still have the password and the temporary inbox is alive to confirm the change. Discord emails the old address to authorise the swap, so do it before the inbox expires, not after.
