How to sign up
- Generate an inbox here and copy the address.
- Open the Spotify sign-up page and paste the address rather than using a social login.
- Set a password and a date of birth, then submit the form.
- Open the confirmation mail in this inbox and follow the link to verify the account.
What it costs you
Trade-offSpotify sends receipts, price-change notices and password resets to the registered address, and Premium and Family plans are managed entirely through it. A free account on a temporary address is fine; a paid one leaves you unable to cancel or recover it.
Questions
Does a Spotify free account need a verified email?
You can start listening immediately, but an unverified address limits things such as playlist sharing and recovering the account. Confirming while the inbox is open takes one click and removes the nagging.
Can I get a Premium trial with a temporary address?
Trials are tied to the payment method, not the email address, so a new inbox does not make you eligible again. Spotify will accept the sign-up and then refuse the trial at the payment step.
Does a region change work on a fresh account?
Spotify sets the country from the payment method and checks it periodically from your connection. A new account created elsewhere will be asked to confirm its country, which an email address cannot do for you.
What does Spotify email to this inbox?
The confirmation link, password resets, login alerts, and the receipts and renewal notices if you take a paid plan. Playlist and release digests also arrive here until you switch them off in notification settings.
Can I change the Spotify email later?
Yes, in Account → Edit profile, confirmed through the new address. Accounts created through Facebook or Google sign-in are the exception: those are tied to the provider and cannot simply be moved to a different mailbox.
Do my playlists survive if the inbox expires?
The playlists stay with the account, and the account keeps working while you are logged in. Once you are logged out of every device, a forgotten password ends the account and the playlists with it, because recovery runs through email.
Does Spotify reject disposable domains?
It accepts most of them. Where a temporary address does get you blocked is on repeated free-trial signups, which Spotify detects through payment details rather than through the mailbox you used.
