Does Sony block disposable email domains?
Sony filters some well-known throwaway providers but currently accepts DustMail domains. If the form rejects the address, generate a new inbox on a different domain rather than retrying, because repeated failures can temporarily lock the sign-up form.
Can I play online with an account created this way?
Free-to-play titles work on any verified account. PlayStation Plus, however, is a paid subscription tied to a payment method, and putting real money on an account whose mailbox will disappear is exactly the situation the caveat on this page warns about.
What happens if the console asks me to re-verify later?
Sony occasionally emails a sign-in verification code, especially after a password change or a new console. If the inbox has expired by then, that code is unreceivable and the account is effectively lost, which is why the address matters more on PSN than on most services.
What does Sony email to this inbox?
The verification link, sign-in alerts for new consoles and browsers, purchase receipts, and the two-step verification codes if you enable email as a backup method.
Can I change the PSN sign-in email later?
